So Near Yet So Far

The 22-minute documentary film examines how relations between Bangladesh and India can be improved through trade and transport. The redrawing of national boundaries disrupted the close historical links between the two countries in a manner that has disrupted economic relations This documentary film looks at how this can be achieved in an amicable manner. It was produced in 2009 by K L Thapar of the Asian Institute of Transport Development. The executive director and editor of the film is Priyam Biswas and the director is Paranjoy Guha Thakurta.
