Justice on a Tight Rope – From Newsroom to the Courtroom

The Law and Society Committee, NLSIU, Bangalore organised a panel discussion on how does the media shape the public opinion in cases which involve questions of conventional morality like consumption of drugs, heinous crimes involving women, queerness amongst others and the kind of impact conventional morality have on procedural fairness and the rights of the accused. The talk was organised on Oct 17, 2021. It was led by Adv. Shyam Divan, Adv Kaleeswaram Raj and veteran journalist Paranjoy Guha.
