On Prime Time, Ravish Kumar asks – why is government and opposition only blaming one another for the bank NPA mess while at the same time abstaining from giving details of who the loan defaulters are and details of how much risky loans were doled out during each other's tenure? Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in a letter to the Parliamentary Estimates Committee has said that a large number of bad loans originated during 2006-08. In the letter he has also mentioned that during his tenure as RBI Governor, he had sent a 'list of high profile cases' to the PMO. Mr Rajan has however abstained from mentioning the names of biggest loan defaulters in the letter that is made available to the public.
