Music As Protest | Ruchika & Deepak sing Broken But On The Mend, Corporation Time & a CCR classic

This video is the fourth in a series of eight (8) video recordings of the performances of artistes at the “Music as Protest” festival that took place on the 2nd of December 2024 at Jawahar Bhavan, New Delhi, India. The event held on a Monday evening had an audience of more than 300 and was organised by Janta Radio. 

Ruchika (vocals) and Deepak Castelino (vocals, guitar and banjo) have been performing together for more than three decades. This set begins with an instrumental track composed in Kashmir and is followed by two original compositions, “Broken But On The Mend” and “Corporation Time.” The final track is a cover of “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” written in 1970 by John Fogerty, leader of the American progressive rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
