On April 3, journalists from Newslaundry and other digital media outlets were assaulted while reporting on the #HinduMahapanchayat in Delhi’s #Burari. The incident took place in the presence of Delhi Police – four FIRs have since been filed, including one against news portal #Article14 and a journalist targeted at the event.
In response to the assault, and other attacks on the media across the country, including the recent arrests of journalists in UP’s #Ballia, the Digipub News India Foundation and #PressClubofIndia held a meeting of journalists in Delhi on Wednesday. Here’s what happened.
