Pegasus: Supreme Court Says Right To Privacy Must be Protected

The apex court on Wednesday constituted a three-member committee of experts to probe into the alleged use of Israeli spyware 'Pegasus' on certain Indians, saying that it is necessary to protect every citizen from breach of privacy. It added that the court cannot remain a "silent spectator" everytime the government pleads against investigation with "national security" as the purported pretext.
