This 35-minute documentary film (in Hindi and English) titled “Maharashtra Manipulated? How elections were stolen in India’s second largest state” examines the several controversies related to the way in which elections to the legislative assembly of Maharashtra took place in November 2024.
These controversies include the unusual increase in the number of voters snd the rise in voter turnout after 5.00 pm on the day of voting.. Based on interviews with dozens of experts as well as ground reports from rural Maharashtra, the film is the most detailed documentation of a state poll that will go down in India's electoral history as the most controversial elections of its kind.
"महाराष्ट्र में हेरा-फेरी ? जितना बड़ा राज्य, उतनी ही बड़ी जनमत की चोरी।" शीर्षक वाली यह 35 मिनट की डॉक्यूमेंट्री (हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में) नवंबर 2024 के महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव को लेकर उठे गंभीर सवालों की जांच करती है। यह फिल्म उन विवादों की गहराई में जाती है, जैसे कि मतदाताओं की संख्या में अचानक बढ़ोतरी और वोटिंग के दिन शाम 5 बजे के बाद वोटर टर्नआउट का बढ़ना। विशेषज्ञों के साथ बातचीत और ग्रामीण महाराष्ट्र की ग्राउंड रिपोर्ट्स के आधार पर बनी यह फिल्म उस चुनाव की कहानी बताती है, जिसे भारत के चुनावी इतिहास का सबसे विवादित चुनाव कहा जाएगा।
